FusionPro VDP software version history is listed below. Please visit the FusionPro VDP Software download page to obtain the most recent installer files for each of the currently supported versions of the FusionPro VDP software.

Each release listed below is for the FusionPro VDP suite of applications (FusionPro Creator (formerly Desktop), FusionPro Producer (formerly Direct), and FusionPro Producer API (formerly Server) and is either a major version (a ".0" release such as 6.0), a minor version (a "non .0 release" such as 6.2), or a patch release (patch releases are for both major and minor versions).

With limited exceptions, all minor versions of FusionPro Desktop were complimentary upgrades to customers that had previously purchased that product version (for example, FusionPro Desktop 5.8 was complimentary upgrade to all FusionPro Desktop 5.0 and 5.1 customers). Also, all major releases of FusionPro Desktop listed required a purchase to upgrade from the previous version (upgrading from 5.8 to 6.0 required payment of an upgrade free, where applicable).

FusionPro VDP Suite v9.0

• Unicode VDP typesetting support. With this exciting new feature, FusionPro now supports the typesetting of variable text in the following 8 languages:
    - Chinese

    - Korean

  This is in addition to the languages which had previously been supported (the Latin-1 languages) which includes EFIGS (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish), Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian among others.

• Select special characters not appearing in FusionPro Server output. Templates created with a version of FusionPro Desktop prior to 5.8 which were composed with FusionPro Server 5.8 had special characters, such as curly-quotes, trademark character, and the Euro symbol, not appearing in the output. • Unicode UTF-16 encoded input data failed to compose with stacking. When using UTF-16 encoded Unicode data in a composition that uses stacking, some compositions gave a "no record found" message resulting in no output. (FP-11016)

  This is in addition to the languages which had previously been supported (the Latin-1 languages) which includes EFIGS (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish), Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian among others.
  
  Also included with this enhancement is a set of expanded hyphenation dictionaries to properly hyphenate typeset variable text in Dutch, Russian, Polish, Turkish, and Greek.


• Black-only crop marks. An option now exists in the Imposition tab of the FusionPro Desktop Composition Dialog's "Imposition" tab to specify that crop marks should be included solely in black for the VDP output. Previously, crop marks were created for CMYK + SPOT plates only (which is still the behavior when this feature is disabled).
